This Privacy Policy describes how auTEEmatic LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“auTEEmatic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the auTEEmatic website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you create an account or use the Service, we collect information you choose to provide, including:

• Account information: name, email address, and password;
• Profile and preferences: home golf course, preferred courses, preferred times, days of the week, number of players, and other criteria used to configure your watchers and Alerts;
• Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan through our website, our payment processor collects your payment card or bank account information directly and provides us with limited information such as the last four digits of your card and billing zip code. We do not store full payment card numbers. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies; and
• Communications: messages you send to us, including support requests and survey responses.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

• Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and unique device identifiers;
• Log data: IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, app crashes, and referring URLs;
• Usage data: features you use, watchers you create, alerts you receive and tap, and how you interact with the Service;
• Push notification tokens: identifiers issued by Apple or Google that allow us to send you push notifications; and
• Location information (optional): with your permission, approximate location to suggest nearby courses. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Information from third parties. We may receive limited information from third parties, such as authentication providers if you sign in with Apple or Google, and from our analytics and crash-reporting providers.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Monitor tee-time availability and send you Alerts based on the watchers you configure;
• Send you transactional communications such as account confirmations, billing receipts, and important Service updates;
• Send you marketing communications (which you may opt out of at any time);
• Personalize your experience and recommend courses or features;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems;
• Analyze usage patterns and improve our product;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

• Service providers. We share information with third-party vendors that help us operate the Service, including hosting providers, payment processors, push notification services, email delivery providers, analytics providers, and customer support tools. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it.
• Tee-sheet and booking platforms. We do not share your personal information with golf courses or third-party booking platforms. When you click through to a course or booking platform from an Alert, you interact with that platform directly under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or government request; to enforce our Terms of Service; to protect the rights, property, or safety of auTEEmatic, our users, or others; or to investigate fraud or abuse.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.
• With your consent. We may share information with third parties when you direct us to do so.
• Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any purpose.

4. Push Notifications

Alerts are delivered primarily through push notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or in the app. If you disable push notifications, you may not receive Alerts and the Service may not function as intended.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. Our mobile app does not use browser cookies but uses similar identifiers as described above.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements).

You can delete your account at any time through the Service. To request deletion of your data directly, email [email protected].

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

• Account information: you can review and update your account information at any time in the Service.
• Notifications: you can manage push notifications and marketing emails through the Service or your device settings. You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing message.
• Location: you can enable or disable location access at any time in your device settings.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account in the Service or by emailing [email protected].

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) provides you with the following rights:

• Right to know: you may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the purposes for which we collected it, and the categories of third parties with whom we shared it.
• Right to delete: you may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to correct: you may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
• Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Categories of personal information collected. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, IP address, device identifiers), commercial information (subscription history), internet activity (usage data, log data), geolocation data (if enabled), and inferences drawn from the foregoing.

10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with information, please contact us at [email protected].

12. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites, including golf courses and booking platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you interact with through the Service.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect, where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
