Getting Started
The basics of what auTEEmatic does and how it works.
What does auTEEmatic do?
auTEEmatic watches public tee sheets at the courses you select and alerts you the second a tee time opens up matching your preferences — date, time window, number of players, and number of holes. When a match is found, we send you straight to the course's booking page so you can grab it.
How do I create my first watch?
Open the app and tap New Watch. Choose your course (or courses), pick a date, set your time window, and select how many players and holes you want. Start the watch and we begin monitoring immediately — you’ll get a push notification the moment a matching tee time appears.
Does auTEEmatic book the tee time for me?
No. auTEEmatic finds openings and alerts you — you book directly with the course. When a match is found, we send you straight to the course’s booking page so you complete the reservation yourself. That keeps you in control and means we never hold or reserve tee times on your behalf.
Is auTEEmatic free to use?
Yes. The free plan lets you run 1 active watch on up to 2 courses, with 1 successful match every 30 days. Upgrading unlocks 5 simultaneous watches, up to 10 courses each, and unlimited matches.
Which devices and operating systems are supported?
auTEEmatic is available for iPhone (iOS) and Android. You’ll want push notifications enabled so we can alert you the instant a tee time opens.
Watches & Tee Times
How watches work, time windows, matches, and what happens when one is found.
What’s a “watch” and how many can I run at once?
A watch is a set of search criteria — courses, date, time window, players, and holes — that we monitor continuously until a match is found or the date passes. Free users get 1 active watch at a time, on up to 2 courses, with 1 successful watch every 30 days. Paid users get 5 simultaneous watches, up to 10 courses each, and unlimited monthly watches.
How specific can my time window be?
As specific as you like. Set a tight window (say 7:00–9:00 AM Saturday) to only hear about prime slots, or open it up to catch anything that day. Narrower windows mean fewer, more relevant alerts; wider windows increase your chances of a match.
What happens when a tee time match is found?
We send you a push notification right away. Tap it to jump straight to the course’s booking page, where you reserve the slot directly. Tee times can disappear fast, so the sooner you tap, the better.
Why hasn’t my watch found anything yet?
Either no matching tee time has opened up yet, or your criteria are narrow. Try widening your time window, adding more courses, or adjusting the number of players. Weekend mornings are the most competitive — the more flexible your watch, the sooner it’s likely to match.
Can I cancel an active watch?
Yes. Open the watch and stop it at any time. Canceling frees up a slot so you can start a new watch on a different course, date, or time.
What’s the “Watch Again” feature?
After a watch ends — whether it found a match or the date passed — Watch Again restarts it with the same criteria in one tap, so you don’t have to rebuild it from scratch.
Notifications
Push notification setup, troubleshooting, and what to expect.
I’m not getting push notifications — what’s wrong?
Check these in order: (1) Open your device Settings → Notifications → auTEEmatic and make sure “Allow Notifications” is on. (2) Make sure Do Not Disturb / Focus mode isn’t filtering them out. (3) Confirm your watch is still active. If it persists, email [email protected].
When does auTEEmatic ask for notification permission?
We ask when you create your first watch, since push notifications are how we deliver alerts. You can grant or change permission any time in your device’s Settings under Notifications → auTEEmatic.
How many notifications will I get?
Only when it matters. You get a notification when one of your watches finds a matching tee time — no filler, no noise.
Will you send me promotional or marketing notifications?
No. Push notifications are reserved for tee time alerts and important account updates. Any occasional product news is opt-in and comes by email, never as a push interruption.
Can I turn notifications off and still use the app?
You can, but auTEEmatic relies on push notifications to alert you the instant a tee time opens. With them off you’d have to open the app and check manually, which defeats the purpose. We recommend leaving them on.
Account & Billing
Subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and refunds.
How do I cancel my subscription?
All subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play, not inside auTEEmatic. On iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → auTEEmatic → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
What happens to my watches if I cancel?
You keep your account and saved courses. Your plan reverts to free at the end of the billing period, so you return to free-tier limits (1 active watch, up to 2 courses). Watches beyond those limits are paused, not deleted, and reactivate if you resubscribe.
Can I get a refund?
Because billing is handled by the App Store and Google Play, refunds are processed through them, not auTEEmatic. On iOS, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, use the Google Play refund process. Email [email protected] if you need a hand.
What’s the difference between monthly and annual?
Both unlock the same paid features — 5 simultaneous watches, up to 10 courses each, and unlimited matches. Annual is billed once a year at a discount versus paying month to month.
How does the referral program work?
Invite friends with your referral link from the Invite & Earn screen. When they join, you both earn rewards. Track your invites right in the app.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. Change your plan any time through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. The change takes effect at your next renewal.
Courses & Coverage
Which courses we support, requests, and coverage limitations.
Which courses are supported?
Thousands of public and resort courses nationwide. Most courses that use the major booking systems (GolfNow, TeeOff, ForeUp, Lightspeed Golf, Teesnap) are already on our radar. Search inside the app to see which courses near you are supported, and request any we don’t have yet.
I can’t find my favorite course. Can you add it?
Very likely. Use the request option in the app’s course search, or email [email protected] with the course name and location. We’re constantly expanding coverage and prioritize the courses our users ask for most.
Do you support private or member-only clubs?
auTEEmatic monitors publicly available tee sheets, so we focus on public, municipal, and resort courses. Private or member-only clubs that don’t publish an open tee sheet generally aren’t supported.
Why does this course show in search but my watch finds nothing?
A course can be searchable but simply have no matching openings for your criteria yet — or it may not have released its tee sheet for that date. Widen your time window and check that the date is within the course’s booking window.
How do I save courses I play often?
Tap the bookmark icon on any course to save it. Saved courses appear in your profile and are quick to add when you set up a new watch.
Privacy & Trust
How we handle your data, and what we monitor on your behalf.
Is auTEEmatic doing anything sketchy with tee sheet data?
No. We only monitor publicly available tee sheet information — the same data you’d see by checking the booking page yourself. We don’t book on your behalf, we don’t hold tee times, and we don’t interfere with how the course manages its bookings. When we find a match, we send you straight to the course to book it directly.
What personal data do you collect?
The essentials to run your account and watches: your name and email, your watch preferences (courses, times, players), and basic device and usage data so alerts work and the app improves. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Do you sell my data to third parties?
No. We don’t sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate the app (like hosting and push notification delivery), and only as described in our Privacy Policy.
How can I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account any time in the app, or email [email protected] to request deletion. Once deleted, we remove or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we’re legally required to retain it.
Are my payment details secure?
Yes. We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled directly by the App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor using industry-standard encryption.
